The 7 day positivity experiment – Day 3

It’s Day 3. I have had a really reflective and insightful day. This post might sound like I am stating the obvious – but sometimes the insights are just sitting right under your nose, and you look all over the city to find them. I already feel a big shift in my thoughts.. I am excited to write this post 🙂

Today, I am happy and grateful for:

1. The Guru Purnima celebrations

It was a special Sunday, because of Guru Purnima. I actually went for satsang after a long time. We had the melodious Paayal Bathija with us today from Mumbai. Re-connected with a lot of old bhajans and reflected on many meanings. I have been going for satsang since I was about 4, I think. It’s only now that I really realise the meaning of what I’ve always been singing all these years. In gratitude for all the masters who have touched my life  – especially Sadhu Vaswani, to him I am eternally grateful. I also paid homage to him and other masters here.

2. The community that I am a part of

Kiran Gulrajani said on his Facebook today that the new Guru is the community. I have some wonderful spiritual friends who are part of this community. Thank you for being my teachers and for keeping me in check.

3. For Deep Red Ink

I never thought I would actually do something as interesting as I am doing now. I never thought I would work with such wonderful people either. Thank you Santhan and Anil. Thank you Quicksilver, Ranjith and Sashank. Thank you to myself to – for following my heart.

4. For the opportunity to spend time with my Grandma

She is one hell of a woman! I say that in the most respectful way, of course. She is a great visionary for her time – she understood the importance of educating her children, of letting them make their own choices, of being supportive of them. She is an independent thinker and is always open to suggestions. She is one of the best communicators I know and one of the most joyful people I know too. I thank her for being in my life.

5. For deep conversations with insights

A friend asked me for relationship advice. Yeah yeah, I know what you’re thinking.. who doesn’t ask for it? But while I was in conversation with her, I realised a few things myself. Also as Kiran Gulrajani says, we teach what we most need to learn. Today’s insights were all about trusting yourself, looking for the blessing in the current situation and letting go! I’m all about applying this in my life too 🙂

  1. Many things in the world like family values, religious upbringing, sense of togetherness has drifted far far away from the reality. No matter what qualms attach us or what we potray to our friends, colleagues, family… We are who we were when took our 1st step, our 1st visit to church, 1st exam in school, 1st family outing.. etc.. The list can never be exhaustive!

Kudos to Deepti to share her day which is a clear reflection of what we all are… True Indian-Valued Patrons! 🙂
